Restaurant 2010

Preparation photos

Chef Idris Caldora has been coming in to school to help teach the Hospitality and Catering students. He is part of the Academy of Culinary Arts scheme in which professional chefs "adopt a school" to give students work experience.

On Tuesday 26th January the Year 11 Hospitality and Catering group held a restaurant evening for parents, staff and guests.

They had planned the menu, prepared the ingredients, set up the room for the evening and finally cooked and served the dishes.

Rotary member Derek Rogers emailed:

Really superb evening – really do pass on most sincere thanks and congrats to the students.
Rotary have our meeting tomorrow evening, and I’ll have chance to make the others mouths water – but it was really nice to be able to represent the Club this evening.
Do thank the students – great food, great presentation and service.

Roger Hart Senior Project Co-ordinator at Kier Moss emailed:

Thank you so much for inviting me to Maidenhill yesterday evening for what turned out to be a truly memorable event.
Would you please extend my thanks and admiration to all of those who were involved in the preparation of the meal and the service to table.  You should be very proud of what was achieved.
Best wishes for the future to all of the pupils involved and of course to you and your staff.
Kind regards
Roger Hart
