During the absence from school, Tamsin Meek entered this wonderful piece of poetry, set on 'Show My Homework', into the local 'Stonehouse Town Council VE Day writing competition'. Tamsin won first prize in her age category and the work will be included in a collection of work from the town later this year.

Congratulations to all students who participated in a writing competition to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of VE day. Maidenhill students were asked to write to a very specific brief and were constrained by word limits and themes. Maidenhill students rose to the challenge however and came first, second and third in every category.
