Students enjoyed an extended ski lesson at Gloucester Ski and Snowboard centre to help prepare them for their forthcoming ski trip to Austria.
Year 11 Religious Studies students were given the exciting opportunity to visit Masjid E Noor, a mosque in Gloucester.
Year 10 and 11 Art & Design students visited Tate Britain, London.
Year 10 GCSE Drama students enjoyed a production of ‘The Weir’ by Conor McPherson at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre.
The band LZ7 visited school to perform for us. LZ7 are a group of individuals who are Christian in their beliefs and feel it important to have a positive effect and message to young people with their music.

Our Student Council representatives visited the Houses of Parliament for a student tour and to meet with our local MP, David Drew.
Maidenhill School Year 11 Leavers' ball took place at The Barn at Berkeley. A great evening was had by all and we were very proud of our students.
Well done to all who took part in this years Sports Day. There were some excellent individual and team performances. Congratulations to our overall winners this year, Doverow.
Throughout June, Maidenhill students have had some excellent athletics results.
Two Year 9 students gave an inspiring Powerpoint presentation to all 4 learning communities during assembly. They spoke about their squadron, the 1329 Stroud Air Cadets, and the opportunities they have by being members of the organisation.
A group of 39 Year 7 students and 6 teachers set off very early from school to make the long journey to Boulogne in France. Everyone had a great experience and agreed it was a day to remember!
On Monday 15th May, the Year 10 Geography group travelled to Pembrokeshire for 3 days of fieldwork at the coast.
The GB Rowing Team Start programme recruits young people who show exceptional natural potential and with the right training, could become an international rower. On Thursday 11th May, the Start programme held a testing session at Maidenhill School involving several of our students from various year groups who met the minimum height criteria.
Author John Townsend visited our school to give us a lecture on the books he has written, what they are about, and how he got the inspiration for some of his book titles.
The UK Junior Maths Challenge took place in school on 27th April. Students in Year 7 and 8 sat the challenging 1 hour paper and we received some excellent results.
Students had a great experience during their recent trip to Paris. Highlights included a visit to the Eiffel Tower, a boat trip down the River Seine, shopping in Montmartre and a day at Disneyland Paris.
Year 10 students had the opportunity to attend the GROWS Higher Education Insight Day “Support to Succeed” which was held at University of Gloucestershire. GROWS is a network of all Gloucestershire Higher Education providers and is made up of six colleges and universities. It works to raise aspirations for students and show them all the options available for their future.
