Paris 2019

The first weekend of April saw 50 students from Year 9 visiting Paris for a long weekend. We travelled by coach and ferry and stopped on the way at the largest First World War cemetery in France, Notre Dame de Lorette. Some of us looked for family names and managed to pick them out from the huge number.

When we arrived at the Chateau we took part in an evening activity. On the Saturday we went on a coach trip to Paris and saw the Eiffel Tower and the Notre Dame Cathedral.  We even got to walk up the Eiffel Tower! Some of us went as far as the second floor. There were lots of steps! There were amazing views of the whole of Paris. Then we went on a boat ride along the River Seine. We also went shopping next to the Notre Dame Cathedral. In the evening we made crepes at the Chateau. On the Sunday we spent the whole day at Disneyland! There were lots of rides to go on and see. It was amazing! That was our last evening in Paris so we had a disco back at the Chateau. On Monday it was time to go home and we stopped in a hypermarket. It was a weekend never to forget!
